Hints About The Silent Spy!

Mark your calendars everybody! Yesterday HeR Interactive released all of the dates associated with their latest game, The Silent Spy. Here they are:

This was the first piece of information released about the game aside from the teaser trailer. Hopefully this means that they will be releasing more soon! Oh and here's a helpful tip. If you read HeR Interactive's Amateur Sleuth blog by Little Jackalope, start highlighting the posts after you read them! Before a game is released LJ usually hides hints between the paragraphs! Yesterday she hid this sentence: "Two more Fridays." (highlight to read). Apparently more information will be released on or after that time!

Ever since their 22nd game, Trail of the Twister, HeR Interactive has offered a bonus edition of the game to everyone who pre-orders. Twice (with CAP and GTH) they have sold out of the physical bonus edition because so many people (including me) pre-order! Will you be pre-ordering SPY? Let me know what you think about this game in the comments section! Stay tuned for my next post about the Digest series!

~Sienna

P.S. I am needing to find a bunch of great quotes from the Classic Nancy Drew books (original or revised). I already have a lot, but I know there are thousands more! If you know of any let me know in the comments section!

  1. Hi Sienna! :) I just talked with you earlier over @ HeR's Amateur Sleuth blog. :) Thanks again for answering my question about Nancy's mom and whether her name's in any of the books or not! :) So only in the French editions is she given a first name. What book (or books) does it say that her maiden name's Austin?

And - cool blog! :D I look forward to talking ND and HB books/games with u! :)

Oh, and I can see about finding some Nancy Drew quotes! :)

  2. Hi Ann! Oh, no problem. Thanks for checking out my blog! I have been reading your blog too, but I didn't realize you were the one writing it till now! It's really awesome!

Mrs. Drew: I believe the book that mentions Mrs. Drew's maiden name is the original text of The Hidden Window Mystery. I've also heard people say that The Clue of the Whistling Bagpipes mentions this, but I have not seen that anywhere in the book. The Clue of the Whistling Bagpipes is full of information about her side of the family!

I know Mrs. Drew's first name is mentioned in the French books and not in the U.S. books, but I do not know if there are any other foreign books that mention her.

Quotes: Thanks so much! I am already working on it, but there are so many books and I need so many quotes it will take me FOREVER! I figured if anyone else knew any already, it would help a lot!

    1. Hi! :) I'm really enjoying checking out your cool blog, Sienna! I've got more to read on here (bookmarked your page, too). :) Hey, cool! Thank you so much! :) Glad you like it! :) I started it a little over six months ago and it's really fun! :) I'd love for you to drop by my blog anytime and feel free to comment! :) I recently posted a one-shot summer story I wrote that maybe you'd like. :) And I got to do a interview with comic/graphic novel artist Stan Goldberg! :)

Ah, ok, the original Hidden Window Mystery - noted. :) I have the revised version of that one. :) Thank you so much for this cool info! :)

Yeah, I hadn't known that until you told me on the Amateur Sleuth blog about the French editions. I love finding out stuff and researching. :D

I'll get together some good quotes for you! I love that there are so many books with the Nancy Drew series (Nancy Drew Mystery Stories #1 The Secret in the Old Clock through #175 Werewolf in a Winter Wonderland). Just like with the Hardy Boys series (Hardy Boys Mystery Stories #1 The Tower Treasure through #190 Motocross Madness - 1927-2005 - love that there are so many! :D), they're not actually called Digests in the books or on the publishers' sites since they aren't separate series but all part of the main, essential series. And I think that's really cool! :D I've read some paper and some eBooks - with more to read! :D I'm trying to keep notes on the books I read and type up interesting facts. :)

Going to go check out more here now! :) It's fun talking with you! :)

    2. Aww thanks :) It's so much fun talking to you too! I just went through your whole blog and read everything, it's really great! I think it's so cool that you go to interview Stan! I haven't had time to read through your whole story, but I am going to! I know the digests are not officially considered a separate series, but a lot of people (including me) consider them to be because they are so different and because of the change in publishers, writers, format, etc. I decided to separate them because I can give a lot more information that way! You should totally check out nancydrewworld.com! Nancy has been printed in tons of countries and tons of languages! It's really interesting, especially if you don't know too much about the foreign books! (which I don't!) I recently found some books from Great Britain at a local used books store and was able to find a lot of information about them on there!

    3. Hi Sienna! :) You're welcome. :) Cool, I'm glad! :) Thanks! :) I can still hardly believe I got to interview Stan Goldberg!!! :) Hope you enjoy my stories whenever you read them. :)
I really love the fact that the Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys hardback and paperback titles aren't separate series - it's such a cool thing. :)
Yep, I think it's great Nancy Drew books - and the Hardys' books - have been printed in many languages worldwide. :)

Couldn't come back here without the quotes as promised. :D

Nancy was quiet, but she was doing a lot of figuring. Something mysterious was going on at Melrose Lake. She intended to find out for herself what it was.
      ~ from The Bungalow Mystery

"This is Ned - Ned Nickerson."
"Oh!" Nancy stammered, taken completely by surprise.
"You probably think I'm rushing things a bit," Ned went on, "but I picked up a ring at the Raybolts' this morning and thought it might be yours."
~ from The Clue in the Diary

      Her mind was on Ned.
